You know how difficult it can be to properly clean a churchwarden and other long stemmed pipes. What you absolutely have to have in your pipe maintenance kit is some extra long pipe cleaners. After smoking a bowl or two in your long pipe, run one of these BJ Long cleaners through the stem and then back. This will remove some of the sludge and give you a clean smoke next bowl.

Best cleaners I've found
I've bought 4 or 5 different brands of pipe cleaners, and these are the best ones I've used to date. The cleaners are narrow, so they easily fit down all of my pipe stems, and they're long enough so that they easily reach through the stem to the bowl. Will definitely buy again!

B J Long 9" pipe cleaner
Use for churchwardens. Bonus, made in USA! I noticed a couple of years ago, that the pipe cleaners I used for many years ( you know the ones ) are made in China. It's a small step, but I'll take it. P.S. A big thumbs up for tobaccopipes.com.
