Excellent pipe
This is an excellent billiard style pipe, especially for the price. I'd owned a Dr Grabow pipe before, also a billiard style, rustic though, not smooth. Left it out on the patio overnight. Got rained on. This one is wonderful. Light, sturdy, perfectly crafted. Will buy more, most likely. Off topic: ordered a different pipe. Wasn't to my standards. Sent it back. Tobaccopipes.com sent me a replacement, no questions asked. Currently in the mail. Highly recommend this company.

Beginners pipe
For someone getting into pipe smoking this is certainly something to look into. It's cheap, small bowl, and easy to use. My only concerns with this product is you are really stuck using their filters (which are covered in plastic) and when I bought it the inside bowl was caked with some residue. Once I cleaned it up, it worked nicely. But something to consider.

Liked it
A good no-nonsense American pipe. Smokes great and does not get hot. I deducted a star due to the cleaning required prior to smoking and inconsistent staining of the bowl. As a side note, the pipe does not have a silver band. I knew this when purchasing the pipe. I think it would be nice if DG would go back to putting the silver accent back on their pipes IMHO.
