Still wrapping up the break-in process, which is quite enjoyable, and have found this pipe to be one of my favorites. I have a Brigham, a Wessex and a couple cobs. I only smoke aromatics, Pipeworks and Wilke this month, and this is my favorite pipe of the 7 that I own. It is a handsome pipe too

Most of my pipes in recent years have cost two or three times what the Dr. Grabow Royalton bulldog did, but this pipe is beautifully designed and shaped and is a fine smoker. It is solid, light weight, and with a long enough stem to slightly cool the smoke more than most bulldog pipes. The bowl is artfully carved and is among the best of the machine made pipes. This is a number one choice for beginning pipe smokers, but also for experienced pipe smokers who want to share in the great U.S. pipe making tradition.

I have been wanting a Dr. Grabow Royalton pipe for years, and I'd read that Dr. Grabow was discontinuing production. My son in the Navy came home on leave with a Meerschaum pipe from Turkey, and he needed a second pipe, so I ordered one for him and a second for me. I placed the order the night before Thanksgiving and was quite surprised when my order was in my mailbox the following Monday. You guys are awesome!
