Peter Heinrichs is a German pipe tobacco brand that traces its lineage to 1908. It was founded by the very man whose name is the title of this company.
When he was 17, Peter Heinrichs founded his own tobacco company after finishing up an apprenticeship at his parent's shop. This business grew and was wildly successful for thirteen years, after which, in 1974, he sold his company to a larger firm for a very large sum.
At just thirty years old, Heinrichs was independently wealthy and could retire to live off that fortune without worrying about work for the rest of his life. Instead, he decided to open up a new shop in Cologne, Germany.
In this new shop, he sold tobacco pipes, cigars, and pipe tobacco. This new shop became Heinrichs' next success story.
It was so successful, in fact, that Heinrichs was able to open up more stores, in San Francisco and Taipei. In 1994, he also opened up a museum in Niederaussem called the Chateau Henri, where he was able to make sales and show the history of his company and tobacco.
The pipe tobacco proves especially successful, and Heinrichs would wind up developing his own blends to sell to discerning customers. These blends have been adjusted and tweaked to produce the best tobacco possible for you but have survived the times to remain the same concepts that Heinrichs developed and cultivated.
