It's Okay...
This is my first Peterson pipe. I think I had higher expectations. The pipe is okay.. and it does smoke well. The fit and finish is what I'm least impressed with. It's just average. The pipe from a couple feet away is beautiful and why I bought the Dracula. Love that red !! However, when you start looking closely, you can tell it's just a production pipe with so so quality control measures. The bit flares slightly wider to one side. You can see some filing marks in the bit as well. Pull the bit out of the shank, and the hole drilled in the shank is not centered. The tapering on the top of the bowl is off too. The taping is shaved more on one side of the bowl than the other. The sandblasting on the bowl looks good though. I guess for the price, it's not too bad. I would give 3 and half stars if I could since it didn't break the bank, but I don't think it warrants 4 stars. So, it gets an average. Good smoker though, and looks good from afar.
