a little too weak flavored for my taste, but I'm a Nightcap kind of guy, I see why some would like it

Arrived wet. Needs aging.worth it
Upon opening too wet to smoke.. also needs a couple months aging..after that one of the best

Interesting
Only four months into my pipe journey at this time, I really enjoy the opportunities to sample different regions of the world through pipe tobacco. A bit of reading and watching a few video reviews led me to conclude, this is a fairly mild and basic English blend. Squadron Leader seemed the perfect choice to begin exploration of "English." At this point, I have tried some of the "Codgers" and several aromatics. This tobacco is so wonderfully different than anything I have tried so far. While I am not yet able to break down what I am tasting and smelling, I do enjoy this tobacco and, for me, it does compliment a cup of coffee. In retrospect, this wasn't much of a review but, an encouragement to try something new.

Happy AND disappointed!
No more metal tins?!? My life revolves around aviation, so this was an obvious sign from above to sample this pipe tobacco. The smoke is fair, and now it’s just in a small plastic bag for 8 oz and above .

Great English tobacco, smokes cool and burns evenly with few relights.

A perfect English! Virginias and Latakia perfectly balanced.
I call this a baby bear tobacco. Not too much... not too little. But juuuuust right.

Still the quintessential English for me
In the early 2000s I tried all the Samuel Gawith tins. Of those, Squadron Leader was, well, the leader. It still tastes the same after a two-decade pipe hiatus. As for others, for me it is still the best example of an English blend.

As expected
I don’t write many reviews but I did read reviews on squadron leader. The flavor profile was as expected and quite a pleasant smoke. I expect that I’ll be ordering more as the temps continue to dip into autumn.

Very pleasant
Smells great in the tin. A very mild smooth smoke. Not Latakia heavy but has a very pleasing taste. When I opened my tin the tobacco was so wet I had to dry it out for at least 8 hours before I smoked it. Not sure if that is normal. This is a great English tobacco blend.
