This Tortoise inspired 114 KS pipe has a very elegant smooth finish and an acrylic stem and ash cap that have been designed to look like the shell of a tortoise. TORTUGA SMOOTH 114 KS
Gorgeous pipe, bowl large enough to hold half a day's worth of tobacco if you're an "all day pick it up for a few minutes, put it down and come back to it" type of smoker like me. Reformed cig smoker and I rarely end up having to pack more than 2 bowls in an entire day. Easy to smoke, will pass a pipe cleaner, tenon fit is perfect. However, the plug on the bottom of the cap is 1/2" deep, negating that much of the bowl space if you, like me, plan on packing it in the morning and taking it with you capped. The plug is heatproof, and you can put it in over a hot ember, but if you want it to be usable as you imagined, you'll need to carefully modify it as Savinelli will not sell another separately to experiment on. Should probably be more of a 4.9-star review, because cap plug aside, it's easily one of my favorite pipes. Highly recommend it, and its Rossi shapes twin the 8114 while not as stunning to look at, smokes just as well.
