Sutliff 302 English Pipe Tobacco

A good if not great blend, does not in my opinion come up to the 965 standard but a good smoke.

It has a few chunks and sticks, but the price is right.

This is what I've been looking for; a well balanced, mild morning English blend with a pleasant flavor. Nice bag-note. Despite the description, there is a light topping that I suspect is rum, which helps smooth out the blend. There's a noticeable citrus note, a touch of a sour note (from the orientals?) that compliments the slight sweetness very well. Mild nic-hit. This is a tasty mild English that I'm pleased to recommend to those new to English blends & for English lovers looking for something light. This will be a morning regular.

Good blend for whoever wants to try English blends for the first time. But, it is enjoyable for experienced smokers as well. It is not complex and Virginias and Turkish play well; Latakia gives some smokey aspect to it. It burns well with no bite. Nicotine level is low.

I am an aromatic smoker that is making a crossover to English Blends. This Blend is smooth, no bite, thick and creamy smoke with an acceptable room note. I would definitely recommend it as an everyday smoke or a transitional blend for those ready to venture into something new from aromatics. Give it a try.

I've had better. I don't know if I will be getting another English blend. I will know more once I finish this
