A little nutty and capturing the flavor of the whisky barrels it’s aged in, the Ashton Rainy Day pipe tobacco is a cool-relaxing aromatic perfect as it’s advertised--for sitting quietly watching the raindrops fall. Fans of a sweet smoke.

    Any Day Smoke

Posted by Big Paul on 26th Apr 2018

This would be a smoke I think is a bit too citrus for me but don't get me wrong if you are looking for a flavorful tobacco to me this would be all most a desert smoke or with a good rum.

    My new “Go To”

Posted by Verified Customer on 25th Feb 2018

This was surprisingly one of the best flavored tobaccos I have purchased to date. It is lightly sweet and nutty, with a nice whiskey undertone that pairs this smoke wonderfully with a good after dinner cordial like Drambuie, or for just sharing a flask of good bourbon around a campfire. I could go to this smoke every time and never be disappointed.

    BIG BITE

Posted by ED on 31st Oct 2017

Tin note was nice, reminded me of dried raisins Tried 4 bowls of rainy day -- twice right out of the tin, once dried for 3 hours prior to light, and once dried for a full day before smoking with a very slow paced draw... Conclusion - this tobacco has a bite the devil would be proud of.

    A decent aromatic blend

You could practically empty the tin into a pourpre dish and use it as such. It has a very pleasant, strong aroma from the tin and produces highly palatable smoke. From the smokers point of view however the aroma barely comes through in the taste. Regardless, it's a satisfying, albeit nuanced, smoke. When they say 2/5 regarding strength they aren't kidding, so it's a good last bowl of the evening blend after something that puts hair on your chest. I use it to give my pipes a pleasant aroma after several bowls of a heady english blend.
