Even though these calabash pipes are not carved out of a gourd, there is a still a resounding charm that accompanies this standard sized pipe. Carved in St. Claude, France, but the Butz-Choquin pipe company, this 2000 Calabash has a deep bend, traditional shaped bowl, white acrylic band, and a soft vulcanite stem. In order to raise the class of this already classy pipe, it has been sanded smooth and given a dark walnut colored stain.

The shape exudes old world charm and elegance. It fills the hand which is good because once you grasp it you don’t want to let it go. The deep narrow chamber burns evenly from edge to edge leaving no unburned tobacco
to scrape from the sides. When the bowl gets hot, the flared top offers a cool respite for thumb and fingers.
The grain in the briar is stunning and the finish quality is impeccable. For what I paid for this pipe, I feel like I stole it.
My very favorite pipe, by a wide margin.
I HAVE FRIENDS THAT HAVE THIS PIPE AND HAVE WANTED ONE FOR YEARS. NOW I HAVE ONE.
This was a present for my husband and he loves it! I shopped around a lot and this was the best price I found on this one and it's a real beauty! We had found this one at a shop and it was priced over $180 and didn't look as nice for some reason. Very happy with our purchase, we'll be shopping here in the future.
This pipe is great. Its beautiful and sturdy. Be warned though, the bowl is gigantic. You can smoke this thing for hours. for the intense smoker.
