Rubber bits
They work well, make it easier and more comfortable to clench and also keep teeth marks off your stem. The only drawback is they do make the bit a little bit bigger, not by much but still bigger which is a bit annoying but still worth it to have on the pipe

BJ LONG Rubber Pipe Bits
Have used this forever. Best thing to keep smoking a pipe from getting bite marks. Also, keep from feeling that "horse bit" thing by smokers. The Rubber Bit fits well w/ standard stems. But it takes a little effort fitting em w/"duck-dove" extra wide stem piece. To think that I used to improvise, before I found BJLONG, w/those wide rubber bands merchants use for veg and lobster claws, Yeah, hilarious, innit? Try getting yours..BJLONG PIPE BITS, I MEAN!
