Every year, Brigham produces a limited edition run of special tobacco pipes. They call these their "Pipes of the Year," and they offer you excellent collector's pieces that you can enjoy for years to come.
Each pipe of the year only has 125 smoking pipes made, making them both incredibly rare and eminently collectible. With each pipe, you get a certificate of authenticity, which will note which numbered pipe you received and comes with a description of the tobacco pipe and the meaning behind it. You will also get a collectible tamper to go with the smoking pipe, usually thematically linked to the pipe of the year's story.
What is interesting is the story behind some of the releases. For instance, the 2012 pipe of the year was in honor of the 200th anniversary of the War of 1812. This series, which ran from 2012 through 2014, paid tribute to Canadian military heroes, with impressive figures carved onto the tampers, such as British General Isaac Brock's likeness on the 2012 edition.
Later on, Brigham would begin the Element series, starting with their 2015 "Fire" pipe. This would run for four years, with the 2016's "Earth," 2017 "Water," and the 2018 "Air."
The 2020 Pipe of the Year was the start of a two-year set, with its sequel coming later this year.
The creativity and flair that Brigham offers with their Pipes of the Year is yet another sign of the passion and knowledge they have. If you get one of these limited edition tobacco pipes, it will be something that can be enjoyed and appreciated for generations.
