This Brigham filter doesn't impede airflow and still allows for a great smoke. This is three inches of fresh wood to help remove acid and moisture that will help with tongue bite. These are reusable a few times. After each smoke, remove, rinse and let dry.

Works well and allows a pipe cleaner to pass through.
Awesome product. Absorbs moisture as well as tar and nicotine and allows a smooth even smoking experience. I make sure my pipes except this unique filter proper to purchasing.
Filter pipes are kind of a side interest of mine in the pipes I collect and smoke myself, and these are pretty impressive. In terms of "softening" the bite of tobaccos they're not quite as effective as 9mm filters, but you can put a pipe cleaner through them and re-use them, so that gets them extra bonus points. I'll be grabbing another Brigham one of these days, it's a good pipe for the money.
These filters work well and are easy to use and replace.
I have never used a distiller before, I bought with a pipe a great device, I will buy more.
Never would have tried these filters if not for Hythe new pipe. I am glad I did.
Very good. This is my second time ordering. Will order more.
These filters work. And when saturated with tars and moisture, I put them in a small jar. When the jar has ten or so in it, I add a LITTLE squirt of dishwashing liquid and HOT water. Shake the jar with the lid on it and let stand for a night. Rinse and put a pipe cleaner through. Roll on a paper towel and let air dry for overnight. These have lasted me for a year so far. Only one has cracked. Still useable. I am entirely satisfied.
These are great filters for the Brigham pipes, I rated a 4 out of 5 because of they still allow a few pieces of tobacco to go through on the first or second draw. They do remove moisture very well but not 100%. What I like about these filters is that they can be used a few times before discarding them.
