Blended this with other tobaccos I received from you.

I blended some Red Virginia, Bright Virginia, Latakia, with some Maryland I had to make a typical English blend. I have set it aside for a few weeks before I try it. Thank you for the blending tobaccos.

CORNELL & DIEHL BRIGHT VIRGINIA RIBBON PIPE TOBACCO

Posted by Jim koch on 31st Jan 2022

A five star blend that needs a three years to age before smoking. It is a bit harsh if you try to smoke this unaged but nothing, and I mean no tobacco ages better than Red Virginia. After three years of proper ageing it is good. After 20 it is beyond anything you will ever smoked. I have smoked many bowls of Red Virginia up to 31 years old and there is nothing remotely as good as the notes one gets as it creates a symphony of complexity and lacks for nothing. Be patient and stock up and set aside to age. I like to use 5 gallon glass jars to keep the humidity good during the ageing process.

Has a after taste when smoked alone good to use as mix or bottom of the bowl.

    C&D Bright Virginia Ribbon

This has a bright, clean flavor that produces superior blends. I use it in my "Industrial Strength" blend: one of my favorites.
