- Room Note:
Excellent mix of tobacco sweet, fresh, tasty touches, if you work it tends to bite but if you smoke it patiently it is too delicious, I just feel that it lacks a little time to save to enhance those flavors of the latakia and perique.
I am a newbie in the pipe smoking world. This was my first English blend. I did not like it in the beginning and found it to be too strong in comparison to lighter aromatics. However, a few months later, I am enjoying it today. I am using it to train my palate to recognize the different tobaccos in the mix. It is not as strong as it seemed in the beginning.
This one for me is always a treat. The Burley and Perique really stand out like stars in this one. This tobacco starts smooth and buttery then warms up into peppery greatness.
This came recommended by a piper friend. It did not disappoint. It is very smooth and cool burning. It has a nice fruity taste, but the topping, if any, is very delicate. The room note is not going to draw complaints. I recommend it without hesitation, especially as a daytime smoke.
Only one word: exquisite! From the tin aroma to the pipe and the smoke this is a must have blend!
