Davidoff tobacco's history can be traced to before 1900. Zino Davidoff, next in a family of tobacconists, was born in 1906 in Kyiv. Five years later, his family moved to Switzerland to escape from the unstable political situation brewing at the time. His father, Henri, would then open up Davidoff of Geneva, where he would sell the family's cigars, a place Zino would spend much of his young life.
Getting an advanced education in the world of tobacco, Zino would travel to Central and South America to apprentice under master tobacconists there. He would also spend two years learning on a plantation in Cuba, truly immersing himself in the traditions and practices of the region.
Zino would return to Europe in the 1930s, where he would take control of his father's store. This would lead to one of the major innovations for cigars, the desktop humidor.
Later, Davidoff would begin producing the pipe tobacco that you see below. Following the same desire to reach the same high quality levels that they did with their cigars, they created many blends for your enjoyment.
You can treat yourself like Royalty with this English blend. Virginia and Oriental tobaccos mix with a slight amount of Latakia to give you a great flavor.
The Scottish Mixture is a pleasant tobacco with a fresh aroma. A combination of Virginia, Burley, Kentucky, and trace amounts of Oriental tobaccos get a treatment with Scotch Whisky to give an excellent tasting tobacco.
You can select the Danish Mixture, a combination of Burley, Cavendish, and Virginia tobaccos. You can pick up Fig, Honey, Nut, and Maple flavoring with this Ribbon cut tobacco.
The English Mixture is another traditional English blend. Virginia, Burley, Latakia, and Perique mix to give this a spicy flavor with a comfortable aroma.

Finally come the colors, first with the Green Mixture. Virginia, Burley, and Black Cavendish give this tobacco a fresh and fruity aroma.
Next is the Red Mixture, which is a combination of Black Cavendish and Virginia. Some caramel and vanilla flavoring gives this Aromatic blend a pleasant room note.
Lastly, we have the Blue Mixture, a mixture of broad cut Black Cavendish, toasted Burley, and a Virginia cut plug. This combination gives a sweet aroma with a refreshing flavor.
