Quiet Nights is not one of those night time tobacco blends that are so strong it will instantly put you out of commission. Instead this tobacco is a lovely symphony of components that make is a flavorful Balkan. The strength and flavor are kept in check. We suggest you order a tin for now, and a couple for a few years down the road--this is an incredible blend to age.

It really doesn’t get better than this for me. This is the best there is. I’ve decided not to buy anything else.

    Great Blend

Posted by Anthony on 25th Sep 2019

From the tin note to the last puff in the bowl, this blend had me transfixed. I have yet to experience such a mellowing of mind as I found in this blend. Not for the faint of heart or those who do not have time to be knocked off their feet. This blend is an embodiment of its name: the still quiet nights that we all long to recreate, full of those peaceful moments of silence that seem to stop the world. It is a great blend for the evening, although I pick it up anytime I have the extra time and just want the world to fade into the background for a while. Highly recommend.

Simply one of the best English blends on the market

Posted by Dragon Briars on 20th Jun 2019

This is hands down one of the best English blends you can buy. I would consider this a "Lat Bomb" for sure as it has a healthy dose of Cyprian latakia. It is super satisfying when you crave that in your face latakia hit. However, that being said, it is also one of the smoothest and most complex blends out there. The flavors dance around with each varietal showcasing itself throughout the bowl. It is compared a lot to Penzance, and I do believe it is one of the closest blends out there with a similar flavor. QN is not Oriental driven as Penzance is. Our taste buds are only a small component of enjoying tobacco thoroughly. It is a different pallet feel, different room note, different levels of all of the varietals that they share, and just a different experience. Greg Pease is a blending genius and you can't go wrong with any of his blends. This blend is one exception and holds a spot in my top 5 blends of all time.

    Delicious!

Great blend of tobacco. I took some of it to my local lounge and shared it with one of the guys that worked there. He commented several times how much he liked it too!

Quiet Nights is a go-to blend for any evening of the year

Many call this one a close runner-up to Esoterica Penzance. I disagree completely. This blend stands on its own as a fine English variety. Not goopy at all. Smokes great right out of the tin. Buy more than one as you'll want more during the year. A favorite from G.L. Pease.

    Good but unusual English

Posted by Archéologue on 21st Nov 2018

Good blend. Smokey because of the high content of Latakia and Cavendish. Nicotine level is mild to medium sustained by the presence of Perique and Burley (in the Cavendish). No tongue bite. But, there are a few issues: there are too many tobaccos in this blend which make it somehow surprisingly flat and one dimensional. The real players are Latakia and Burley (in the Cavendish, I think). Too many tobaccos don't make it a complex blend. I understand that marketing gets the upper hand here for G. L. Pease produces over 70 blends of all sorts. Overall a good blend for occasions. I will leave it for a while and will come back to it to see any changes. I think McClelland was the best producer of Oriental and English blends in North America. With McClelland gone out of business, there is hardly a good similar blend that I can point to among American producers unfortunately and one has to turn to European blends.

Grab It While You Can !!

After just one bole, I ran to buy 3 more tins. This tobacco has everything going for it. I can smoke it all day every day, and I will. It has become my new Balken/English favorite. Trust me, this tobacco is destined for stardom and will become a hot commodity. G.L.P. Has hit a home run with Quiet Nights.
