    Toasty barbecue

Posted by Dr Benway on 26th Sep 2020

I saw a video where this tobacco was being produced, and the basic method involves wrapping Virginia leaf in ropes, soaking it in olive oil, and then roasting it slowly in a steam press. I did not get mind-blowing Nicotine from this, and would consider it a difficult smoke since it is hard to keep lit, so I wrap mine in a little Five Brothers as "kindling" and I end up with a sweet smoky flavor, with heavy overtones of olive oil that gives a "barbecue" flavor when it burns off, mostly because most barbecue is marinated in olive oil. As with all things Gawith Hoggarth Ltd, the quality is top-notch and the flavor entirely unique. Thumbs up, and thanks to TobaccoPipes for another perfect order that arrived in under three days!

An excellent tobacco. Being able to order in bulk is great in these uncertain times.

    Black twist

All the best from the twist. In a prepared style. Rough cut. Nice charred steak flavor, pure tobacco. Love this stuff!!!!!

    Meaty

I can't agree with the pleasant rating on the room note, which sparked this review. My least favorite of the twists, the black twist is hit or miss for me. I've had a piece that seemed like it was stoved too much once, but that is likely the exception and not the rule. Significantly milder than the brown variety, this rope still packs some flavor, and you will assuredly notice the dark fired and Virginia leaf.
