The Black raspberry was just too intense
This aromatic honestly turned me off from buying these types of very moist & flavorful blends much anymore without hesitation. I tried out C&D's "Apricots & cream" when I first got into pipe smoking last year, and as a rookie it's enticing & approachable. But as my palate for more complex blend matured I grew less fond of these aromatics that come off as so artificially flavored you might as well be smoking hookah. I would feel wasteful to just toss it in the trash so I have tucked it away to "cellar" for some time in hopes it improves with age. Not holding my breath though.

If you're into that sorta thing
It's fine I reckon. I only bought an ounce of it to test out and that lil bag alone had an overpowering berry aroma upon opening. A pungent aromatic indeed.. A bit Too flavorful for my personal taste. I couldn't finish the bowl because I was getting a slight headache off it. I saw some people on here say it's subtle & faint, which is why I gave it a shot, but the bag I got was Not the least bit subtle lemme tell ya. It was practically hooka tobacco level..

Ok, A mild endorsement
Does Hold raspberry flavour. But no character. And is a smooth smoke. And almost no bite. Let it dry a bit. Has good aroma for all. But not worthy as A regular smoke.

This stuff is so good. Very smooth, all day smoke. Great tin note, very pleasant room note. I live in the Pacific Northwest where wild berries of all sorts are abundant, and this stuff is right up there with enjoying a fresh berry plucked right off the vine. I recommend mixing it with a little peach tobacco as well for a deliciously fruity afternoon smoke.
