A real delight for the senses, with a sweet and intriguing aroma. Very smooth and consistent smoke down to the ash. I think I would call it burley forward but with more complexity than standard blending burley. I've heard this tobacco being compared with a cigar, and I guess that's where the Virginia's come in. My experience with tasting is limited, but I do know it is very good.

Old Dark Fired is a strong blend and I love it. No need to get all cerebral , this blend is straight forward BBQ. A good nic hit too will follow so be ready! Don’t be shy load up and enjoy the ride.

Dark, well-melded flavors
Imagine you are wearing a comfortable flannel shirt that you had on the night before at an outdoor bonfire and you walk into a small, artisanal bakery where they're making fresh raisin bread. That's what it smells like when you open a tin of this gem. Can't speak highly enough about it. Smokes easily even if you puff like a proverbial steam engine. I've only smoked it rubbed out with a quick dry time of 5 mins or less but will experiment with smoking as a full flake. Great, great stuff!

One of My Few Favorites!
Definitely my favorite VaBur! Like many MacBaren non-aromatic blends, It has an interesting vinegary, barbecue-like undertone that is either loved or hated. I personally love it! Nutty, earthy Kentucky and sweet, tangy Virginia's are beautifully melded together,a result of excellent blending and being steam-pressed. I would love to try this with some age on it, but I just don't have the willpower to keep it around that long!
