The newest offering in Mac Baren’s HH series continues the tradition of untopped and quality tobacco blends that makes the new iteration of the line so popular. This is a straight Virginia with a mix of air-dried and flue-cured leaf. The result is one of the mildest Virginia blends you’ll ever smoke. It’s grassy, a little sweet and the complexity builds as the bowl goes on, making it a surprising treasure of a smoke.

Mac Baren pure virginia
If I had to choose one tobacco to smoke for the rest of my life HH pure virginia would be it. In fact all of my other tobaccos will remain cellered until this is no longer available. It is that good ?
Great pure Virginia
If your looking for a pure Virginia, you have found it.
Mac Baren HH Pure Virginia
I'm relatively new to pipe smoking and descriptions thereof, but in my experience with this blend I likened the flavors to a "coctail by the fire" vibe. Sweet, sour/citrus, woody/smokey and relaxing
Mac Baren HH Pure Virginia
outstanding, full tobacco flavor...slightly sweet...will be buying again in larger quantities.
HH Virginia hot ressed tobacco,
My first time, is a good smoke i trait it in a old Dunhill pipe, smoot, good burning I remembered the Dunhill Flakes.
Perhaps the Best Virginia Flake
Mac Baren’s HH Line has achieved the halcyon of Germain and Gawith. Perhaps it’s the century old steam press they acquired to manufacture the HH line, or perhaps it’s the sourcing and blending... maybe it’s the combination of these. No matter, the entire HH line of flakes are among the most qualitative products manufactured by Mac Baren or any blending house for that matter. Unlike Germain and Gawith, HH is readily available and reasonably priced, which in my humble opinion, moves it beyond either of the former to a level not seen among Houses since the early 2000’s. Now, about HH Pure VA; A high quality VA Flake is a real treat, and this is one of them. The steam pressing removed the sharpness that accompanies brighter, fresher VA, and deepens the flavor profile while adding a bit of caramelization. This has a very clean, deep and round profile. There's the highly sought after malted/fermented VA nuance; it's delicately sweet with a slight honey flavor, bready/pastry and has a marked grass/hay nuance with just a tiny bit of citrus. It's incredibly smooth with absolutely no bite. The nicotine level is medium to medium-strong strength with a nice 3 out 5 nic strength. This is a great after-dinner smoke that rivals Sam Gawith FVF, and in many respects, is superior. I prefer this after a full-flavored steak dinner. The smooth and mild sweetness provides a great finish to counter the savory steak. Add to that a satisfying nicotine strength, and it pairs so damn well.
