True Navy Flake
This is the only true navy flake I've found and so the 5 stars. While there are several flakes called navy, while many are quite good, they lack the rum element to make them true navy flake. Ok, off my soapbox. This is far and away my favorite burley based fake. Fold and stuff or rubbed out, depending on what pipe I use, its a quality smoke either way. Recommend.

Burley based delicious flake.
Tin note is just superb; I smell dried fruit, honey & spice which translates to the smoke. Smooth with no roughness. Flake is perfect moisture. A light aro that will never wear one out. No tongue bite. This would be my desert island choice. Love the stuff.

Mac Baren Navy Flake
I'm a fairly new pipe smoker, and in the process of learning and discovering new tobacco blends. I have to say that this particular blend is so far a definite blend in my tobacco cellar and a daily go-to blend. There's a hint of Rum and Honey. And for me, a light afternote of dark roasted bold coffee (I enjoy my coffee dark and bold). MB Navy Flake is a must try for anyone. By far one of my favorites!

Not for beginners but flavors hit most of my check list
Good smoke at last part hall.

One of my favorites but,,,
I rarely get disappointed by a Mac Baren product, they are quality all the way. Sadly the last batch of navy flakes I have been buying in the 3.5 oz all gives the blend smell with the tin being sealed. So, I assume Mac Baren slipped the quality control on this one. (By the way, it's like that from all vendors). Other than that the blend is gold and in my opinion the best navy blend out there, sweet taste room note great and it packs a decent strength. Try it, I am sure you will like it.

My Personal Favorite
The tin smell is wonderful honey. The flavor comes out more if smoked slower at lower temperatures. Otherwise, it has a grassy sweet Virginia flavor. The kick is light to medium.

More Please!
This is a super smooth smoke. The tin note has a super strong honey smell. The flavors stay with you as well which in this case is great. Probably top two smoke for me.
