This is the oldest Mac Baren blend on the market today. They call it an English Blend, but--as the name implies--it’s somewhere between an English and an Aromatic. The spicy Orientals and Latakias are a tasty combination with vanilla, rum and chocolate. This is an often passed over jewel.

The blend is Scottish/English by components but then there is added rum/honey flavor? The sweetness is there with the smokiness of the latakia. The very unique taste which is a hate-love thing but it hits and miss with me. I crave its taste occasionally rather than wanting to smoke it all the time. I guess its good if you want to try something new. Room note wants to be good but the latakia ruins any attempts to the topping to be crowd-pleasing. Burn is perfect.
Smoke wells, problem keeping it lit.
A very complex blend which obviously depending on what percentage of leaf type you get each bowl will change the overall experience. To be honest I rarely find my self in love with an English aromatic crossover so I am not going to bash this one out. The blend and leaf quality is great but the sweet smokey combination did not work for me. Although advertised to give good room note, I did not find that to be the case, the latakia smokey touch is there and dominate any casing added to this mixture. Other than that packs and smoke great with no tongue bite if smoked in moderation.
