I’ll start by saying I'm a fan of the coins/ medallions. I’ve rubbed these out, and packed them as is. For me, packing them whole, they seem to burn better. The Virginia in this is nice. The vanilla is light and in the background. Good stuff.
Nice morning cake!
Soft, tasty aroma clouds. Very mild cake for prolonged smoking.
Don’t buy this
Don’t buy this, please, save it all for me. This is my second purchase of this blend. I don’t know if it’s an aromatic or a Virginia with a topping but I love it. Smells like baked goods and taste like vanilla bean and dark fruit.
Macbaren vanilla roll cake
A pleasant smoke, not overpowering in the aroma nor the taste. But tasty enough to know its vanilla.
My favorite vanilla
In so many vanilla tobaccos the vanilla acts as a dictatorial overlord, cloyingly obscuring the tobaccos in the blend. Here, though, it is used well, enhancing the excellent tobacco and letting nature of the tobacco itself shine. I personally like to let the coins dry a bit before loading my pipe. I did this by accident once and have not failed to let it dry since.
Mac Baren Vanilla
This tobacco is nice and smooth, stronger than what I am used to though. My wife let me smoke a bowl in the office with a window open, in Upstate NY (COLD out!). I did not taste or smell much Vanilla at the time, but the next morning the office had a pleasant Vanilla aroma.
