Match B.S. 759 Pipe Tobacco

The blender genius added far, far, far too much oriental/turkish to the point that I had to add lots and lots of latakia to mellow out the harsh taste of vinegar that dominates this blend to the degree that it is almost un-smokable!

Enjoying this tobacco. I like the taste and the smell. It's a matter of personal preferences so nothing to discuss or compare. Easy to pack. Burning slow and not too hot. First time ordered 2 x 2oz. packs - was perfect. Then I ordered 8 oz. pack - arrived too dry, needed to humidify it a little bit. Still very nice for this price. Probably I will by more.

The price is the best thing about it. I have not smoked the original B.S. so I cannot give you a comparison. I found it a nice Balkan style blend, but it can bite a little. It is undistinguished. I am unlikely to buy it again.

First, let me say that I have never had the original 759. With that said, the tobacco arrived very quickly. Moisture level is perfect. You will not be paying for any excess water weight. It is a ribbon cut that packs easily using the 3 level method of fill and pack. Easy to light. Lots of smoke. Stays lit well. Burns down to white ash. Taste is very good. The latakia does not overpower the blend. The orientals come through very well and the Virginias are sweet and fragrant. The burley in this blend seems minimal. This is now my go-to Balkan blend. No more tinned Balkans for me. Customer service is excellent. The clerks are very friendly and patient. All questions were fully answered. Ordered it on a Monday afternoon and it was here on Friday. You can't beat that with a stick. I have switched to these guys for all of my smoking needs. I believe that you can do no better. Happy Puffs. :^)
