Missouri Meerschaum Mark Twain 2-Corncob Pipe Gift Set
This was my first corn cob purchase. I'm a new pipe smoker and wanted to add a good corn cob to my collection. I bought the pipes from tobaccopipes.com and they were shipped promptly and I received them quickly. The pipes smoke great! No break-in required and smokes as well as my more expensive Savinelli pipes, which I found impressive. As a new pipe smoker it's amazing to me that cheap pipes can smoke just as well as expensive ones. On the second bowl I had a very slight "corn" taste, which from my researching I think might be normal, however the taste went away fairly quickly and I have not tasted it again. I'm giving this set 4 stars instead of 5 for a couple reasons. The first is that one of the pipes had shavings from production that was completely clogging the stem in the bottom of the bowl. I had to get a sharp instrument and work out the shavings to clear the stem. I feel this is a quality control issue and the pipe should have never shipped in that condition. The second, is the price. Even though this set is very affordable compared to what I've spent on other pipes, it 's CHEAPER to buy these pipes individually. There is no "mark twain" markings on the pipes or on the box (which had nothing but the pipes inside) to identify them as part of the set, so I do not understand why it's more expensive to buy them together than separate. I do recommend these pipes. They are cheap and smoke very well.

Gift to buddy
Great set. My buddy loves them. Unfortunately they don't come with more than the filter that's in the stem. As new to smoking a pipe I'm sure this is common. I personally don't care for the filters. Great set though for the price.
