    Molina Shorty 123 Devil Anse

This is a beautiful pipe - handsome grain, nice finish, and the stem is especially beautiful swirled acrylic. I gave it 4 stars because the stem and stummel do not perfectly line up (tiny gap on the bottom) but is essentially a perfect pipe for less than $40 - it compares favorably with my 100+ pipes and it smokes like a champ! I am delighted with this pipe and it came with a white elephant filter, my favorite brand.

    Very good little pipe

Now that's a shape I've been looking to purchase for a while. Wanted to get one from Dagner Pipes but never went around to it until recently, then I found out they all sold out. Now, my experience with their pipes has not exactly been great, I think they're not exactly worth the asking price when it comes to the smoking experience (but they're nice pieces). So I stumbled upon this brand on this website while searching for a Devil Anse pipe. Seems like there were big recommendations for the brand itself, and the Devil Anses were on sale when I found them... And even if the shipping was pricey due to the fact that there's a big ocean to cross, well I thought it might be worth it nonetheless. Well, this pipe, and I suppose by extension this brand, is worth the price. The craftsmanship may not be the best, with a few little things here and there that kind of look out of place (like the stem fitting properly only on one side or the carbonated inside not liking cleaning - which isn't really important but there's basically nothing else that's bad to say), for the asking price... It's way under-priced. Even at 60$, it smokes and ultimately looks like it could easily be double. Now, short pipes tend to be on the cheaper side of things, but luckily I also enjoy them more simply because I'm a clencher. One thing I'd like to mention is the stem itself, again: I can hear some cracks when I clench sometimes. I don't know if it's anything to worry about, and I hope it's just superficial, but that's something that's happening for me. Maybe I clench too hard, however I did have that happen with a Chacom Nougat - which is still looking lovely today, and does not have these cracking sounds anymore. Maybe I need to get used to the weight, which this one certainly has compared to the very lightweight Nougat. Overall, very big recommendation. Very worth it. Also the shape is lovely.
