With a name like My Father Cigars, it’s no surprise that this brand is a family affair, bringing us a line of fantastic cigars. It all started with Jose Pepin Garcia. Born in Cuba in 1950, he came up around cigars and rolled his first at the young age of 11.

Pepin opened a small cigar factory in Little Havana in 2003, then launched My Father Cigars in 2008. It was also this year that he was recognized as America’s Hottest Cigar Maker by Cigar Aficionado. Then in 2009, production was greatly ramped up with the opening of the Garcia Family Industrial Park in Estelí, Nicaragua.

Pepin has developed many of these great blends with his son, Jaime Garcia, now president of My Father Cigars. All the while, daughter Janny Garcia runs things at the Miami Florida headquarters, which also functions as a boutique factory, employing 12 incredibly skilled rollers, trained by Pepin himself.
