A cob is just a cob.
A corn cob pipe is not a very complex smoking instrument. They do smoke quite well and you can’t beat the price. The first few bowls always seem to take on a little of the cob flavor then you’ll get a more pure tobacco taste. I had a Laughing King before and the chamber size seemed to work really well with certain Virginia blends but I burned the tip off of the stem. I think I can fix it but decided to buy a couple more in the mean time. I also like the bamboo stems over the plastic stems of most other cobs. I saw that others have had trouble with them burning out the sides. I haven’t had this problem, but maybe I don’t smoke them as often as others. Good pipe, good price, good smoke. What more could you want.

Poor quality cob. It burned through on both sides on the third smoke.
Good and Bad
I purchased 2 of these pipes. the first one I smoked burned out the side in a few minutes. The second pipe was smoked 6 times so far and still going strong. No burnout. smokes cool
A very cool cob with a great story. I love porch sittin' with this guy filled with virginia. Flawless service.
