Perhaps the most striking Churchwarden we’ve seen for under $100, the Peterson Calabash Churchwarden features a dramatic brown stain and half-bent long Churchwarden stem. The bowl and elongated jet black stem are so dramatic that a ring or any additional adornment is simply not necessary. All that remained was to add the gold Peterson “P” stamp and this beauty was complete. One of our favorites and we know it will be for you too.

    Perfect for studying

Posted by Don on 6th Feb 2019

Would call this a Corona ring size bowl, which is just right for what I wanted. Am not a Robusto guy. Loaded up with enough tobacco to last 15 minutes or so, or off and on during a couple hours of studying. Very cool, dry smoke. Light on the teeth too. I don't think I'd take it walking, but it's wonderful for reading. Recommended.

    Double Check the Size

Posted by Christopher on 4th Apr 2018

I should have paid more attention to the size. I knew the bowl was smaller, but I didn't realize how small. It's pretty small. Whether or not you enjoy it will depend on how much you like to smoke at once. A pretty full bowl will last me 30-40 minutes. However, being smaller in size makes it much more comfortable to hold in your mouth. The weight is almost not detectable. It's a very easy walk-n-go kind of pipe. And it does look pretty "clean", pretty fresh. I've gotten at least a couple of compliments on it already the few times I've taken it out. Thought about returning it at first, but decided to try it instead. Glad I did. Makes a nice addition.

    Excellent Niche Pipe!

Posted by Nick Nicholas on 8th May 2014

I've been looking for a pipe like this for a long time, and here it is! This small bowled churchwarden is excellent for Virginia and Lakeland flakes. The small bowl diameter combined with the length of a churchwarden surely delivers the coolest possible smoke for blends that tend to smoke a little hot. I really wish this pipe had greater availability, I would keep at least three in my rotation.

    Great Pipe!

Posted by Bob on 29th Jan 2014

I highly recommend this pipe for all pipe smokers. Its a smooth, cool smoke and just an all around fantastic pipe. It is on the smaller side, but that doesn't take away from the beauty and amazing smoke that it offers. If you can, add this to your collection!

not a biggie but a keeper

Posted by Unknown on 23rd Apr 2013

I have seen a short calabash at my local tobacco shop, thought it was way too small for me. Then I noticed the long one and thought to myself thats really not a bad idea. So I had to try it out. Glad I did. The stem is long enough to give a cool smoke with the bowl being light enough I can clench it comfortably. Best of both worlds. Not exactly. With the small bowl I'm only getting about a Half hour out of it. Nothing is perfect but this is really close. and I have my Dublin for porch sitting
