Early Morning Pipe by Peterson is considered a standard of measure for what a light English blend should be by a large number of experienced pipers. The flavor is sour, sweet, and tangy more than smoky. Because of the balance of the constituent tobaccos, the smoker is able to discern subtle flavors.

Exceptional blend with an amazing aroma that catches the attention of everyone around me! Highly recommend!
What's left to say, this is the best and now my favorite English blend.
The first bowl I wasn't that big of a fan, but 3 or 4 bowls it will be in my rotation.
A good first smoke of the day. Good even smoking mix.
I ordered a tin of Early Morning and a tin of Nightcap. I’ve never tried what is considered an English blend. First, the art on the tin is great, just like the Dunhill of the same name. I opened the tin and blam, the heavenly aroma of Latakia and Orientals, and more blended beautifully. No drying out time was needed. I packed my Peterson Aran XL90 I bought from TobaccoPipes.com and lit it up. The clouds parted, Angels began to sing...seriously, this blend is perfect. On strength, I give it a 3. Not too much, but just right. This is truly a great example of an English blend that a smoker could smoke who has never tried such a blend. This is so good, I’m getting more. This just made my daily rotation. I’m gonna cellar a few tins. I’ll bet after 5 years or so, this would really be great. Early Morning Pipe tobacco, now from Peterson, is not just for breakfast. It’s on the menu all day long. Thanks, Peterson for keeping this blend going.
Having only recently opened a long-saved tin of Dunhill Early Morning Pipe, liking it but only to find it had been unavailable for some time, I was delighted to see that Peterson had acquired the label. I purchased two tins, and am happy to report that it seems identical to the Dunhill mix. The Dunhill tin I had saved for a special occasion for over seven years. Glad I did, as it allowed for close comparison with the Peterson mix. Recommended for fans of the Dunhill mix. No disappointment here. It's especially satisfying in my small bowl Peterson Tanzanika meerschaum, and how fitting! Kudos to Peterson.
Outstanding! This may become my all-day favorite tobacco. Peterson has given us outstanding tobacco.
This is the one. Aromatic smoke is great but I wanted satisfaction a cigar brings without the drama. Very mild In temperament but very satisfying. I’ve since come to love Peterson Elizabethan, 965 blend, etc, but this is my golden standard.
I just enjoyed my first ever bowl of Early Morning Pipe Tobacco in my new Missouri Meerschaum St. Patrick’s Day Pipe with a cup o coffee as recommended by so many from the YTPC. It is a smooth blend that can start or end anyone's day off right. So glad it’s back.
