The Peterson Pub pipe is an exceptional offering by Peterson. I’ve now owned three and I wanted to talk about what I personally value in these pipes. They are very good for clenching. The drastic bend in the stem makes it very comfortable and easy to clench for the times I want to read a book or take a walk or even do some chores around the house, the pub pipe is one the I constantly go for, and the acrylic stem gives it extra durability against teeth marks. It is well worth noting that all Peterson pub pipes come with the “chimney extension” at the bottom of the stem that in my experience helps noticeably in catching unwanted moisture and debris from traveling up the stem and depositing it in the moisture well. The chimney is a feature usually only seen on the deluxe and premier lines of system pipes which often cost more. For the cost of this pipe you’ll find an exceptional value, not to mention the beautiful sterling silver band and aluminum indented P on the side of the stem. The sandblast finish is a very exciting line in all Peterson pipes right now not excluding the Pub pipe with their often deep grooves in the wood showing the briar’s personality, each pipe is unique to you and a piece of functional art to be treasured. If you’re looking for a functional, large bowled pipe that you can either take with you on a journey or enjoy in an armchair, I highly recommend the Peterson Pub pipe to you.
