For me, nothing relaxes and comforts me more than sitting back to enjoy a good, enjoyable bowl of pipe tobacco. I am, for the most part, a burley smoker. I love burley. I've tried ALL the codger blends and other more expensive burley blends. While to me, most of them taste pretty good, they turn my pipe into a smoldering furnace. When I would let the pipe cool and go to re-light, it's as if the tobacco char has been welded together. I don't know if that's due to the toppings, PG, or what, but it gets old. I never experience that with Prince Albert. I load my bowl lightly (like all the other blends) and tamp the top gently and light up. Prince Albert takes the flame well, continues to burn slowly and tastes of true burley, it's perfect for me. During the smoke, I'll gently tap some ash out, gently tamp and re-light. This pipe tobacco is what I've been searching for in top-notch burley and it is "jar worthy". I love it. Give the Prince a try, you'll wonder why you hadn't before. Happy puffing.
Eh, it's okay. Probably won't purchase again.
With this tobacco, I realized how much I like Burley! To me, it has something more than Virginia tobacco. I smoke it straight and also blend with it. 40 years ago Gramp's knew his stuff! I wish he were here today.
First smoked this tobacco, pure burley. Not really mine.
OTCs are a staple of mine in the summer here in So. Florida. Perfect yard work smokes and fine with morning coffee. Prince Albert is no better nor the worst of similar blends of this type. Sometimes great other times barely ok. Decent summertime smoke for the price.
Quick and easy to order and have delivered too! Wish I would have done this years ago. Very good tobacco product along with service.
Being a regular pipe smoker I got tired of all the flavored tobaccos which also had a bite to them. A friend years ago suggested PA. Bought some and never looked back. Sometimes it is hard to find out in my neck of the woods. Seems to be a favorite with the Amish too.
I’ve smoked a pipe on and off for 40 years and never tried PA until today, first in a new Savinelli, then in a 30+-year-old Comoy. I must say I was pleasantly surprised.
I bought this because this is what my grandpa smoked way back in the day and wanted to try it. It is a great smoke and for the price, it makes it that much better. I will always keep some on hand!
