If there was one blend type that every smoker should enjoy on a regular basis, it is a straight Virginia. One of the best straight Virginia tobaccos on the market is a blend owned by the Robert Lewis tobacco company. The Wingfield Mixture is a matured batch of level-headed Virginia leaf, that delivers a mild/medium flavor and better than expected room note. Perfect for both morning and evening smoking, there is no time this blend can't be enjoyed.

    Good but...

For those wanting a grassy Virginia, this isn't it. This Virginia smokes and tastes very similar to an English blend. It wasn't bad but it wasn't my favorite's.

    Heavenly tobacco

My opinion(s) are those of a newer pipe smoker, one who is still working out the issues of subtle nuances that make a great smoking experience. But I feel compelled to share something about this tobacco. It may be the 12th or so that I have tried, but it is the first all Virginia blend. I was amazed with the ease of staying lit, burning cool and thoroughly, and with the impressively delightful and sweet, yet delicately complex smoke that it provides. I'm contemplating this to be my primary mix and stocking up on it. It is the 2nd blend from Robert Lewis I have tried and the other (Orcilla) was up for the top spot before I tasted this one. Maybe I should try more from this company .....
