Samuel Gawith Squadron Leader is one of those almost-perfect tobacco blends that every fan of English blends should keep a stock of. It’s medium-bodied, smooth and easy to smoke, while still giving enough strength to satisfy. This blend won’t knock you out, but it will knock your socks off -- the perfect balance in our humble opinion.

A very nice mild all day English that even offers a touch of Lakeland floral. Easy to smoke, low nicotine hit.

    Great English Blend

A great example of an English blend. Probably one of the best I have tried. Will grab more as soon as it becomes available again. All day good...

    Goldy Locks English

I have never heard a complaint about the flavor of this tobacco. Some people think it's too mild, while others too think it's too strong. I think it's just right, and it's a great middle of the road quality English blend.

    New Mainstay!

I drift between Va's and English blends and found this to be a fantastic all day long smoke. Loads well, packs well, burns to a clean ash and if pushed a bit hard it will growl before biting.

    Crisp Latakia blend, Commander!

With a name like this (and the fact I’m a 20-year US Air Force vet), I had to make this the first tobacco smoked in my new Rattray pipe. This is a great robust English blend with strong Latakia and Oriental influence. It has been a great smoke on cool, brisk mornings on the back porch. Strong, but delightfully crisp and bracing.
