The 403 style churchwarden is a thin, sleek churchwarden. With a fairly traditional shaped billiard bowl, the bent acrylic stem contrasts nicely. With a length nearing 11 inches, this Savinelli pipe excels in smoking even the most wet and hot burning tobacco with absolute ease. In order to make this pipe even more comfortable to smoke, it has been rusticated, which just seems to fit so swell in the palm.

Nice Pipe Overall
Very nice pipe. The bowl comes pre-charred, so break in is not really a thing at all. No sour tannic taste for the first few bowls. I like the rustic texture of the bowl, but it appears to be coated in some sort of black paint, which has flaked a bit in a couple places. You can't even see any wood grain/ figure. A dark stain with an oil finish would have been more fitting. I may end up refinishing it if the paint keeps coming off. The stem to bowl fitment is nearly seamless and the seal is solid. The pipe smokes great, but the bowl does get pretty hot to the touch.
