Giubileo D'oro
Absolutely one of the finest packaged flakes. perfection in a square tin. It has a flavor that is so subtle but yet so full it is in a class by itself. As you get into the bowl it gives you delicate little surprises of different flavors that seem to ebb and flow through your senses. I tend to rub this flake out taking the time to enjoy the process as flake tobacco helps you slow down and relax that is the sheer beauty of the pipe you are filling. It smokes effortlessly with ( if packed correctly) no relights and it smokes extremely cool and burns right down to the bottom of the bowl with a very fine white ash again just amazing

Lots of good things to say. The smell from the tin is absolutely mouthwatering. Perfectly pressed and cut flakes, packs great, burns better. I found the Virginias in this to be excellent, sweeter and tangier than the more traditional English blends I've had. The latakia is present but not the forerunner here and it maintains a very delicate balance throughout. Truly a pleasure to smoke from top to bottom of a bowl.

Larry nailed it with his prior review. I just finished my first tin of Giubileo d' Oro and my first taste of Savinelli tobacco. I had heard Savinelli delivered on quality and I was not disappointed. My taste leans toward the Latakia bombs and the Cyprian Latakia in this blend is deliciously present and married perfectly with sweet Virginia. This is a smooth and satisfying all day smoke. The tin note is rich and leathery and mouthwatering. It more than lives up to the 'Golden Jubilee' translation and I just ordered 2 more tins!
