Plum Pudding is the most popular luxury tobacco in America. Ever wonder why its called Plum Pudding? Years ago, when Joe Lankford created this legendary English style tobacco he decided to name it for a special holiday treat cherished for centuries in England. The Plum Pudding has long been the centerpiece of Christmas holidays -- a tradition honored to this day. And Seattle Pipe Club's Plum Pudding blends are the centerpiece of luxury tobacco fans everywhere.

As soon as the first blends were released in micro batch form in 2007, the club has experienced the snowball effect of popularity. Arguably their most delicious and popular blend is the Plum Pudding. As a new pipe smoker I found plum pudding interesting to smoke and very flavorful. Take your time with this one and really try to pull all the different flavors out and you too will find this very enjoyable!

    Huge Surprise

Posted by John Jeffries on 8th Jun 2021

So I made a review of an English blend that wasn't the highest of reviews. I made an order of a missing label/dented can and this is what I got. I must admit it sat for a month before I opened the tin. with some doubt and negative thoughts, I lit up my bowl and gave this "Plum Pudding" a try. First I want to thank the guys for sending me this tobacco, what a surprise it has been. the mix isn't overpowering in any respect and the flavors are melded perfectly. As a new pipe smoker, I am still feeling my way around what I like, trying things and all. I will say that this will end up in my rotation for sure. A rainy day smoke when you have all the earthy smells, you smoke one of these and you get all the wonderful earthy spicy flavors to go along with it. Again, Thanks guys for sending me this, I would love to get more advice from you on more tins. I would recommend this to folks that are looking for a well-balanced English-type blend that isn't overpowering. It's worth your time.

    SPC Plum Pudding

I tried Plum Pudding because I saw how it was regarded in the pipe community.also I think my tastes for different pipe tobaccos have been maturing and I was ready for something a little different. I was not at all disappointed with this blend...If you happen to like the taste of Latakia, Orientals, and Perique, you should definitely try this blend...it is very interesting, complex, sweet, sour, smoky and this has shown me what the hype was all about. This is a very good blend if you enjoy tasting out different qualities of good tobacco blends. I break off, lightly rub out, then dry for a short while.., then enjoy the concert of flavors...no doubt about it,..this has become a favorite of mine. Its a little more expensive, but I will purchase this again.

    Not my cup of tea

This is some strong stuff. Remember the old telephone poles and RR cross ties that were treated with creosote..ever cut into one of those with a saw well this is just like filling your bowl with that sawdust and giving it a light and a big toke. Thanks for the memories but no thanks.
