Seattle Pipe Club Plum Pudding Special Reserve Pipe Tobacco 4 oz

Ok after being Jarred for 8 weeks the sharpness of the overall note has really taken a back seat also when I jarred it I cut it into 3/8 plus size slices and just sort of broke it up like 3 chunks per slice. This blend now has mellowed into a very meaty slightly fruity sweet flavor that I can honestly say I can occasionally enjoy. I really don't rub it out just squeeze a chuck and lightly pack. All the sharpness seems to have disappeared. And I have decided that it may be a good idea to invest in some more and jar the same way. Figure it will be a decent smoke after a good time with some air to mellow it. Or maybe I'll just invest in the reg plum pudding and see how that is.

I am not sure how people are saying this is terrible tobacco. As winter is coming to an end here in PA I am getting a little sad knowing I won't have anymore cold days to warm up with some Plum Pudding.

Eh honestly not really impressed. I've been a on again off again pipe smoker for 30 years now and I find I gravitate towards the Cavendish blends over English blends. This i find is far from the description. Upon opening I was hit with a pungent funkyness I was trying to identify. Finally figured it out Creasote just like a railroad tie. After a full slice taken and loaded I found it to be very English blend taste which really didn't impress me. But I found mixed 1:1 with a aged Maduro black Cavendish it added much more complex tastes. To each his own at least I can finish this can off. Not really sure if I would purchase again will have to wait and see.

Garbage tobacco. I’ve tried 100s of tobaccos and loved almost all of them. This was straight disgusting and a waste of money. Smells terrible too.

As of now, I haven't had the opportunity to experience the product firsthand. My personal preference typically leans towards pure V or V grass blends. My decision to make this purchase was influenced by a friend's recommendation, who spoke highly of the quality of this tobacco blend. Once I've had a chance to try it for myself, I intend to share my impressions and feelings regarding the product.

This is a truly beautiful smoke with a superb after taste

One of my favorites to date. The addition of Latakia reminds me of the familiar taste of G.L. Pease Quiet Nights. A smooth, slightly sweet earthiness is how I would describe this 5-Star Blend.

The more bowls of a blend I smoke, the more complex it usually starts to taste. On the first bowl I usually only get the really obvious notes, and sometimes I don’t discern much at all. I could definitely detect the briney salty flavor, and in parts of the bowl, the smoky campfire like flavor. Not my all time favorite as of now, but I enjoyed it. I imagine it’ll likely only grow on me from there, as most blends do. Some of my current favorites, I was pretty tepid on at first, and I like this one off the bat, so it may grow to become a favorite as well. Definitely going to have to have another bowl today. In short, it’s flavorful; it delivers on the notes promised without having to search for them. It burns a little bit hotter than I’d prefer, but this is why cadence is important, I tend to smoke faster than is advised. If I had an option for less flavor but a cooler smoke, I would not take that option, I like the bold saltiness and smokeyness, and look forward to being able to pick up more on the creaminess and sweetness.
