There are not very many true aromatic tobaccos on the market that have a sliced flake cut, but then again the Solani tobacco company has never exactly done what was expected. The Tropical Mango Flake is a combination of Burley, Cavendish, and Virginia style tobacco, and before being pressed was flavored with mango and passion fruit.

A spectacular aromatic. I like an occasional aromatic as a change of pace from the other major pipe food groups I enjoy. (i.e. burley, Virginia, English) Solani mango fills the bill. I love flakes and perhaps because this tobacco is a flake, it has the body so many aromatics lack.
You gotta try 656 ABF Solani if you're into good flakes ! Just saying you will mmmmmmm love it!
WOW! This stuff is excellent! Comes in a small square tin with a gold sticker keeping the tobacco together, even the paper they use is a high quality that is sort of waxed to keep tobacco from sticking. The scent is apparent from the first opening as exotic fruits that reminds me of a sweeter version of Erinmore Flake. The flavor is sweet but not cloying or overpowering. I had this one on the wishlist for a while and was hesitant due to the higher price compared to other tobaccos, but this stuff is worth it IMO. Threw half the tin in a mason jar for cellaring and only have 1 flake left which will be gone soon. This is a blend I will be stocking up on more of in the future and am curious to try other Solani blends.
Nice sliced flake cut and square shaped tin that is convenient to slip into a pocket. This blend reminds me of a girl named Solani that I met many years ago. We had a wonderful Friday night but I did not call afterward and she stalked me for several months thereafter until I filed a restraining order.
This Solani blend has a spectacular flavor which is sweet and tarty, nutty and grassy, all within the same bowl, but leaves a lingering mango ghost which is difficult to shake. I tried it again as a 50/50 mix with a white burley, and while somewhat less spectacular as an initial event, had a more subdued aftermath. I will definitely keep some on hand for an interesting smoke, every now and then.
Was very pleased with this blend, from the opening of the tin, to the last draw on the bowl. Very mellow smoke and can definitely taste the tropical fruit. Wish i would have had this tobacco with me when i was in the keys on vacation.
