Sutliff 507 Virginia Slices Pipe Tobacco

A no-frills straight Virginia in easy to crumble or fold form. I rate it at mild to medium in taste and flavor. No flavoring or topping can be found here. Now what else could you ask of a Virginia flake? I used to order equal quantities of Sutliff 507 and Newminster 400, but have left the Newminster behind for a superior 507. I do smoke a lot of straight Virginias, this one ticks all the boxes for me, YMMV.

This is a great all day smoke. And the aging of this one should be great.

This does a good job at being what it is, I haven't really smoked enough straight Virginia blends to give a good explanation as to what I'm smoking, but it's pretty smooth, I get a grassy haylike flavor, it'll bite you if you're not careful. Otherwise it's a pretty good slice.

Just great IMHO. Little bite, but quite pleasant. I often blend with other tobaccos.

For me no great highs or deal-breaking lows. Just a pleasant Virginia smoke.

Pure, sweet Virginia. Not heavy on the nicotine, burns well, but keep it slow.

Very nice and a great price. I like to mix with a little of GH Dark. The Sweetness still comes through, but the Dark adds the earthiness.

Very good flake tobacco for a reasonable price. Perfect moisture from bag to Just folding together, stuffing the pipe and smoke. The taste has width, depth and is one of the best pure Virginia I smoked in my 30 years as a pipe smoker. It is European in design and presentation but has a robustness and roughness that goes beyond the traditional. This tobacco is highly recommended!
