This smells very nice in the bag. Personally I’ve never gotten the tastes in the smoke that the topcoat suggests. Still this is a decent, albeit one dimensional, tobacco. I keep it around for when I know I’ll be around other people who would not appreciate the smell of my English and Oriental tobacco or when I’m in the mood for a cavendish-forward tobacco. I’d say try it for yourself to see what you think. People around you will like it in the right setting.
I purchased this for the upcoming holidays. I must say the pouch note smelled great. Upon lighting I got hints of milk chocolate, caramel, and spice. However after the char light the flavor disappeared and became bland - very disappointing, but smooth and bite free. If you love spice flavor, try Sutliff's spicy vanilla - it's outstanding!
This was one of the best I have ever had. Will buy again. Great smell not to strong almost a sweet taste.
Smells great right out of the bag. Great taste and no bite. Wonderful room aroma. Highly recommended.
SUTLIFF CHRISTMAS SPICE PIPE TOBACCO
Try it, you'll like it.
OK… Where do I begin? This is… Quite simply… The most incredibly enjoyable pipe tobacco that I have ever, ever, ever smoked in my relatively short pipe tobacco tenure. I can’t even begin to describe the wonderfully complex flavors that you consistently get while smoking this wonderful mixture through a quality pipe. for me, if I can only smoke one mixture for the rest of my life, this would most certainly be the one. It is absolutely, ridiculously, incomprehensibly delicious. I mean to order as much of this as I can to last me the rest of my life. It is that goddamn good.
I wasn't expecting to enjoy this tobacco as much I do. Sometimes you can get an loose idea of how a tobacco will perform by giving a brief judgement based on smell and feel. However, with this tobacco, I was completely taken back almost immediately upon putting flame to it. For the price and quality of this tobacco, it is very pleasant throughout the entire process. I perceived a multitude of flavors and the room note lived up to its name. This tobacco could easily pass for something higher grade. I very much enjoy this product and it has made it's way into my top tier list.
I love the Christmas blends! There is something about smell that actually reminds you of the time of year and enhances your feelings. I have tried many of them, and I keep coming back to this (to the point its in my regular rotation of tobacco). The bag/room note are both present, of medium strength and the taste is what makes this the winner! There was no tounge-bite and I had no issue with keeping it lit after drying it out before smoking (although it's not hard without this step). Taste is subjective to each individual (I get lots of vanilla and spice), with the cost of this tobacco, it's easy to try it yourself and see. My only complaint (if I have to list one) would be I am not a fan of bulk tobacco and would rather it be in tins, or at least this be an option for additional cost.
