Sutliff English #1 Crumble Kake Pipe Tobacco

My favorite smoke. It is ready to smoke out of the tin though a little drying helps it to smoke down to the bottom of the bowl with no relights. This is a very wonderful balanced blend. All of the components are discernable and work beautifully together.

I found this to be delightfully dark, thick, chewy, and a bit chocolate-y. I've been on an English kick as of late during the colder months of winter here, and this was one of several. It's good quality presentation, burn, etc. I've ordered more and will return to it when the seasons turn again. Mind you I'm doing a lot of exploring right now, but this is of a quality I appreciate. Crumbles exquisitely and loves many pipes.

SWEET SMOKEY HEAVEN to me!... When I first tried this one, it instantly jumped to the TOP of my all time favorites list!... The tin note, for me, is like "catnip" to a cat... and, to each his own (of course), BUT I can't get enough of the "room note" of this one!... The Latakia is just about PERFECT for me and it somehow has an indescribable "sweetness" that keeps me coming back for more. I haven't been lucky enough to get my hands on any "Penzance" to see if it lives up to it's reputation and all the hype, but for my tastes, Crumble Kake English #1 has quickly become the "English blend" that I judge all others by.

Good balance with near-perfect moisture right from the tin. Enjoyable smoke, sure to be a regular in my rotation.

This blend is the perfect Balkan blend at a lower price than what one would expect to pay for such glorious flavors. Sutliff has raised the bar for all American tobacco blenders. One tin and you'll agree. It doesn't get much better than this!

I'd never tried the Kake/compressed tobaccos. I rubbed out enough for a bowl and let it dry for about 10 minutes, loaded up my pipe, and enjoyed. This is a good English blend and burned very well. Good taste. Not sure on room note as I was riding my lawnmower at the time. 4.5 stars.

Great smooth smoke that is not harsh in any way. Easy to prep and packs very well. Needs few relights. Smoke in a larger bowl otherwise there will problems keeping it lit due to a tight fray and in a small bowl, packing can be a challenge.

You get two thick slabs of pressed crumbly tobacco. I need more time with this one but so far I get a perfumey mild easy smoking English blend with little to no nicotine.
