    Not for me.

Posted by Brad on 19th Nov 2019

Tin note enjoyed. I had high hopes. Expecting a warm vanilla fruit in a cav./Balkan blend. Good room note on first light and first few puffs were good. Further, into the bowl, I got tired of it quickly and experienced that familiar aromatic letdown. Smoked one more bowl in my truck, and there she sits(somewhere in the back). Later, I packed one of my favorite Balkan pipes up to smoke and discovered severe ghosting from the Eastfarthing. A lesson learned, and for now, no more, but I'll jar it up for later, and give it a try down the road. Thanks, Sutliff, you and your club are awesome, even if I honestly don't like this blend.

    What taste?

This tobacco smells cheap, tastes (what little there was) cheap, and is cheap. I do not recommend.

    Eastfarthing

A very nice and quality tobacco blend that comes from Sutliff. I am not a big fan of crossover blends but this one does get it right. Not something I will smoke regularly but something I will buy it when the mood strikes me.

    EastFarthing

Mellow, slightly aromatic, vanilla-tinged hint upon opening. For a light English, the wife tolerates well. Cool smoke and will get again.

    Nice

Good taste. Pleasant room note. A little too humid upon first opening. It was hard to light and keep lit. After drying out a bit, it was excellent.

    New Favorite!

Posted by Eric on 16th Nov 2019

I ordered Eastfarthing as part of Sutliff's virtual pipe club. I can't even describe my new found love for this blend. All I can tell you is that if your reading these reviews because you're on the fence then stop being a wuss and just order it. I burned through my first tin in a few days and have already ordered more. This is one you'll want to stock up on. I promise.

Don’t Buy This...Save it all for me. :)

A fantastic blend from Sutliff. A tin of Eastfarthing was given away at the Richmond, Va Pipe Show in October 2019. The Latakia does not overpower the Virginia’s and the Stoved Burleys. Very well balanced. A joy to smoke and will only get better with age.

    Beautiful Balance

Posted by Wainair on 9th Nov 2019

I just got my order in of Eastfarthing and it has gone to the top of my list for English Blends. Let it be known that I am not a huge Latakia fan. I find most blends to Lat forward, not letting you taste the other component tobaccos but not here. This has a beautiful balance! This is how Latakia should be used in a blend. It is sweet but not overly so. Very impressed. Any Brandybuck would be happy to sip some of this blend in their pipe!!
