Vauen Dr Perl Junior Filters 100 Pack

I normally have used the Peterson 9mm pipe filters and I wanted to give these a try since Vauen invented the 9mm filter. These are good charcoal filters and they fit the pipe well. I have not noticed a big difference between the Peterson filters and these Vauen filters as far as flavor or absorbency goes. I tend to be a wet smoker so one filter will last me for two bowls, but you may be able to get three bowls out of each filter depending on your moisture and your tobacco strength and humidity. The big difference between the Peterson filters and these Vauen filters is the price. When you buy this 100 pack, the filter is about half the price of the Peterson filter purchased in the 40 pack! I plan to buy these Vauen filters from now on!

I have been using Peterson Filters for my pipes, and in the US they are not always easy to find, and the price is higher than the Vauen filters. These are great! They filter identically to the Peterson filter and the draw is slightly better. They are readily available and the price is better. I'll be using Vauen filters from here on.

In my over 1/2 century of pipe smoking, I never used a filter pipe, except the last 5 yrs. When I bought my first Vauen pipe from Tobacco Pipes. I even got an adapter with the pipe thinking I wouldn't like smoking with the filter. Was I ever wrong? I now seldom smoke without one. This is the best you can buy hands down. I use these with my Vauen and also use the non filter adaptor at times when I smoke. I don't notice a decrease in flavor/taste of the tobacco when using the filters. They work better than other filters I have used many years ago and the price outstanding!

Then I bought the Molina Barasso Blue 105 Tobacco Pipe - Bent Rhodesian from www.tobaccopipes.com For whatever reason, the combination of my Prince Albert and the new Molina lit my mouth on fire. I was really taken back. Prince Albert has always been so friendly. It's a plain tobacco with absolutely no flavoring of any kind. Nothing fancy and I have been smoking it for those same 60 years. I was thinking of quickly retiring the Molina when I had a novel thought. Filter? No, not me. I still had the thought my manhood would be threatened, and would never want anyone to even think I had that thought. But once there, it wouldn't leave, and I gave into it and after an email exchange with Ben, ordered the filters. Adding a filter to that Molina made an entirely different pipe out of it. I had trouble believing it. All my "fears" about filter use went out the window. I was even inspired to try a filter in all my pipes that would take one. It was a difficult job because all of them were so plugged up with all the manhood proving crap in the stems and shanks that had accumulated thru the years, that puttying a filter in was impossible. Now, after more than a week of work, scraping, scrubbing, crying cussing, and just plain whimpering, I'm a convert. Every pipe now had a filter and I feel even more of a man for having made that life affirming decision and I wish they made these to fit a 6mm pipe like my new Dr Grabow Royalton
