The Savinelli Roma 606 KS pipe comes in either a black vulcanite stem or, as seen here, an amber colored lucite stem. This colored stem is an excellent addition to an already stunning pipe. 606 KS is a king sized bent billiard, and in this case has a rustic finish. The dark cherry colored stain matches perfectly with the thin brass band attached on the end of the lucite stem.

Great pipe
I would call this my first really good pipe. I have stuck to the $45 and under range for a bit. Big fan of corncobs. Time for a better pipe. The fit and finish of the pipe were fantastic, everything fit up perfectly and the lucite stem is just a nice step up from the plain old black stem. I did have to wait to break it in until I could get some of the charcoal filters. I am not a fan of the balsa type. Breaking in the pipe went smooth for me. this is my morning pipe, first bowl of the day is always out of this one. It gets 5 stars from me, I would purchase another Savinelli.

It is a great pipe. Holds and smokes perfect with or without balsa insert. Will by another pipe in this category with the Lucite Stem.
