The Robert Lewis name goes all the way back to 1787. The company is the longest established tobacco merchant in England and one of the oldest in the world. They produced tobacco of such high quality and substance that the company would attract many notable customers from the top of the social world, including ten different reigning British monarchs. The British monarchy is filled with trendsetters, mostly because the rest of the United Kingdom's populace will do their best to copy what the royals do. Having royalty purchase your products is the best advertising you can get, and they got paid for it.
Because of their Royal customers, Lewis Tobacco would become one of the most well respected companies in the world, staying in business for more than 200 years until they were purchased by the J. J. Fox Company on September 14, 1992. While J. J. Fox has taken over, the Robert Lewis name remains in the four blends we offer you here.
Each of the Robert Lewis blends has been made since the 19th century, meaning whichever of the four you get will provide you with a taste of history, the same taste that kings and queens have enjoyed.
