Same pipe tobacco as The Star of the East from Cornell & Diehl but Flake cut. The name refers to the Cyprian Latakia and Izmir. The two are mixed with stoved red Virginia for a perfectly proportioned English blend.

Simply my favorite smoke. If you like latika and or english blends, this is it.
This is the 4th C&D blend I've tried, and all 4 have been excellent. It is what the description says. It burns cool, and you'd have to puff on it for it to bite back a little. I like Orient Express a little more, but I'll get to this one again. Recommended!
One of my top 5 favorite blends.
Taste similar to other favorites in the same category. But, just as they do, it has its own characteristics that set it apart. Similar to Quiet Nights and Penzance but, it stands on its own two feet. Really enjoyable and I always look forward to smoking it. Cheers!
This is one big "Lat Bomb" that won't let you down. The complexity is not too deep, but the flavor is. It's a big smokey, cool burning, in your face delicious English blend. The flavor of the Cyprian latakia is very similar to Penzance as you may have heard, but that's as far as it gets. Penzance is Oriental driven, this is pure latakia heaven.
This is one of the best English Blends around. It smokes very smooth and should be in everyone’s rotation.
Reminds me of Quiet Nights but more Oriental forward. A very good smoke.
There is a lot of Latakia in this blend, but it is balanced pretty well with deep stoved red Virginia tobaccos. Heartily recommended for experienced smokers who like a stout blend.
