What is in it?
This is an aromatic blend with cherry flavor
Burley: There is Burley in this blend, although you may struggle to notice it.
Virginia: The Virginia seems to be the main component.
Cavendish: You will find quite a bit of black Cavendish present.
What does it smoke like?
Blood Red Moon is a full aromatic pipe tobacco.  The taste of the tobacco is not entirely overwhelmed by the topping, but rather combines into one flavor.  I taste very sweet cherry, and dark chocolate.  The flavor is similar to eating a cherry cordial, but there is a bread like toasty taste that has to be the Burley and Virginia.  For a full aromatic, I noticed no tongue bite.  The tobacco left no dottle, but there was some moisture in the bowl.  The next bowl of whatever you have in the same pipe may have a ghost of cherry flavor.
How to prepare it?
Aromatic pipe tobacco is very sensitive to preparation.  Take one bowl's worth out of the tin and let it dry in the air for at least half an hour.  When the tobacco is no longer moist/sticky you are ready to pack.  Use a light hand while packing the bowl.  A two step pack is better than a three step pack for this blend.  If it won't stay lit, use a tamper to tighten the pack a bit.  Don't smash it in since it is very difficult to loosen the tobacco again.  You should have no trouble drawing air thru the pipe.  Smoke with a controlled, slow cadence for maximum flavor.
Room Note:
Very Pleasant

    My favorite

This is by far one of my favorites, and I’m not an aromatic kind of guy. The room note is the best I’ve ever experienced. The flavor is out of this world. Smokes pretty well, relighting may be necessary, it’s pretty sticky but there’s minimal spitback, none if you’re using a filter.

    Pretty good

At first it tasted a little like a 99 cent swisher but after smoking it more I started to appreciate it. Doesn’t leave a bad taste in the mouth and it really makes a room smell great.

First, do not be put-off by the brand name. You are missing out if you do. I let that get in my way for a while. I figured being called "Cult" the product wasn't aimed at me and I likely would not like it. I was wrong and I'll leave it at that. After reading a number of reviews I decided to give BRM a try and I'm very glad I did. It is one of my favorites now. I'll not bother with how it impacts my palate as everyone's taste is different and several reviews have gone into that already. I will simply say that for me BRM is a pleasure not to be smoked while doing other things because it would distract from its subtleties. For me, BRM is best enjoyed when I can give it my full attention. One of my favorite things is a pipe full of BRM while sitting on my patio gazing out at the woods. Try BRM and make some time for yourself to slow down and enjoy it. I don't get the distinct cherry flavor some claim to experience but I do consistently find a nice underlying fruitiness that comes and goes throughout the bowl. I also find that despite what some say BRM needs some drying time out of the tin. That may be a function of the high humidity where I live and/or the fact that I keep my tobacco in a high quality humidor. An hour of time at 73 degrees is about right for me.

It opens with a very strong taste of rum. Stay in your mouth for a long time. Long aftertaste.

I tried a lot of cherry blends & this is the best by far. No tongue bite & compliments every time I light a bowl.
