Pipe tobacco
Great smoke

Satisfying smoke
I bought this product on a whim, and I am supremely satisfied with my decision. This tobacco is cut in a flake style and the packaging was unexpectedly elegant. This product is ready to smoke right out of the tin. The flavor is full and delicious. I get a saltiness and a bit of sweetness like barbecue. It's a hearty blend that has no tongue bite if sipped correctly. This tobacco is delicious when smoked out of a cob and pair with your favorite rye or bourbon whiskey. Damn, you just have to taste this!

MAC BAREN HH BOLD KENTUCKY HOT PRESSED PIPE TOBACCO
Smells like BBQ pork ribs. Not a strong BBQ flavor. Needed two bowls of 5 bros to get the smell off my pipe. I wanted a high nic blend. This wasn't it.

MacBaren HH Bold Kentucky
Nice straight forward tobacco flavor however these flakes arrived very moist. I would say for a 16 ounce weight there is likely 12 ounces of actually tobacco based on moisture and casings added. It's a nice tobacco with good strong flavor, but I wish they were not so watery.

New favorite
So impressed by Bold Kentucky. Smooth amazing taste. Ordered extra. Might be the best of Mac Baren.

Amazing blend
This blend has become one of my favorite. The sweet bitterness and one dimensional strong flavor reminds me of coffee.

Not for me personally....
First, let me state that I probably don't have the greatest senses for detecting subtleties in flavors and such in tobaccos. When I opened this tin, I wasn't very impressed with the smell/aroma from it...luckily the *taste* was much better, heh. It's still not a blend I'll personally be buying again as it just didn't really do much for me. It was rather plain and the wisps from the top of a bowl that sometimes make it up the nose when one is smoking, were rough, to say the least. This is a blend/type that is simply going to have to be tried by each person individually because I just can't say I'd recommend it (especially to new pipe smokers), but there are Kentucky blend smokers out there who might find this particular brand/blend better than what they smoke presently.

THE STRENGTH RATING ISNT A JOKE.
If you want to add some nic to your bowl but don't want to use five bros on the cheap, and find a barbeque twang pleasing, this is very much for you. One of those blends that makes you say "holy shit how is this legal?!?!" In terms of strength. A dab will do ya. Genuinely tastes like barbeque.

HH Bold Kentucky
Perfection: bright Virginias, stripped of their acidity and saccharine sweetness by hot-pressing, marvelously married to dark fired Kentucky Burley for a flavor like tangy molasses. This tobacco burns the most completely of anything I smoke, and they forgot to take out the nicotine like in most blends, not to mention a flavor that is simple on the surface but teeming with nuances underneath. I cannot express enough how much I admire this blend and think Per Georg Jensen is a wizard of the leaf. You could smoke this all day and never get bored. Like most flakes, it takes a bit to get it started, but then it smokes easily if you just keep breath-smoking and ends up as a pipe full of fine ash.
